The Three Mountains: The Transfiguration of Jesus

The Transfiguration of Jesus

The luminous ascension of the Third Serpent of Light inwardly and upwardly along the brilliant spinal medullar canal of the sidereal body granted me complete access to the Venustic, superior octave of the corresponding Initiation of Fire...

It is not possible to write within the narrow frame of this treatise everything that in foregone times I learned in each and every one of the thirty-three holy chambers...

The extraordinary revolution of the radiant third snake was processed very slowly according to the merits of the tranquil heart...

I obviously felt transfigured when the luminous viper passed through the threshold of the third secret chamber of my heart temple.

Is this transfiguration perhaps not excessively rare? Did this not also happen to Moses on Mount Nebo? Unquestionably, I am not the first to whom this has happened, neither will I be the last.

In such moments of happiness, I was transported before the presence of that illustrious, respectable man of noble face and renowned intelligence whom I knew in foregone times while only a tender adolescent.

Frankly and plainly speaking, I am referring to the professor of aspiring Rosicrucians, cited in the fifth chapter of this very book. Unfortunately, this illustrious man could not see me, not even while I was in complete transfiguration...

Those who believe themselves to be Christians have never meditated enough on the emotional and sublime scene of the transfiguration of Jesus, nor on his ascension, as it is described by Luke (St. Luke 9:18-37) in the following terms:

And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

They answering said, John the Baptist [IOAGNES, RA, or the Lamb of God]; but some say, E-li-as; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

And he straightly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

Saying, the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself [dissolve the EGO], and take up his cross [practice Sexual Magic] daily, and follow me [sacrifice the self for humanity].

For whosoever will save his life [the selfish who never sacrifice themselves for their fellowman] shall lose it: But whosoever will lose his life for my sake [the altruists who ascend to the altar of supreme sacrifice for humanity], the same shall save it.

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or he cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father, and of the holy angels.

But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

This passage, when taken literally, is referring only to Jesus, but, as a fact, when taken symbolically or in “Spirit,” is referring to all men. As we proceed, we will see how this text of the scene of the transfiguration unfolds:

And it came to pass about eight days after these sayings [we state that this event becomes a practical and tangible corroboration of these statements] he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistening.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and E-li-as: Who appeared in glory and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for E-li-as: not knowing what he said.

While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, this is my beloved Son: hear him.

And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen...
